This is a pretty sad state of affairs. Occupy Wall St. posted a letter on Facebook expressing support for the movement from the people of Tunisia. Tens of thousands of Tunisians have now spammed Obama’s FB page with calls to overthrow the dog dictator. This is what happens when rhetoric overtakes common sense. Have some police departments used excessive force? Yes. Are the American people being brutalized by a dictatorial and fascist regime like many are now claiming? Of course not. Let’s try to keep things in perspective, shall we? Stop acting like what is happening in the United States is comparable to what is happening in North Africa and the Middle East. It isn’t. I urge Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Los Angeles, Occupy Boston, Occupy Together, and all those involved in the Occupy and 99% movements to try to set the record straight for people who do not understand our system of government.
